Welcome to Room 21
In Intermediate Learning Support we keep very
busy learning strategies to help us develop all of our
educational skills. We study all academic areas and work on our
skills that need a boost and/or a different strategy way to excell
in our learning each day. Looking forward to
having students as well as teachers,
parents, para-professionals, enter our room each
day. It's quite the busy place -
Stop by for a visit one day.
   
To better develop our MATH
skills we study & review all areas of addition,
subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, percents,
decimals, and money concepts. We also work on something
called We have a Math curriculum this year which
includes higher-order critical thinking. multi-digit work, and
word problems. We continue with our interactive multiplication math
learning tool from the generosity of our Beverly
PTA. ~Timez Attack." This program helps us
practice and [possibly] perfect our multiplication skills. It
is also used in several different classroms in the grades 3-6.
Students may be talking about this as they use it and improve
their multiplication skills.
     
We work on comprehension, decoding of
words, sounds,
sound-blending, syllables, do DIBELS oral readings for one-minute,
self-reading, and try to increase the words phrases and
sentences we use every day.
  
Our study of multiplication and division and how many problems
(based on how quickly we write), we are able to achieve in one or
two minutes.
