The following students have been accepted into Philharmonic for next year:

  • Abby Lin
  • Kaitlynn Pitts
  • Laurel Gould
  • Emma D'Cessare
  • Sasha Gilster
  • Angelina Galeyeva
  • Bella Aguirre

If you tried out and were not admitted, expect an e-mail from me outlining what went well in your audition, and what are improvements are necessary to be ready for Philharmonic. There are still openings in all sections, and the next round of auditions will be held the first week of school in September. You should register for Concert (9th grade) or Symphonic Orchestra and we can add you to Philharmonic later if you make the next round. If Philharmonic is the only option that works with your schedule, go ahead and register but be aware that you still need to pass the audition. Try not to be disheartened if you weren't accepted - not everybody makes it on their first try and it is better to receive feedback on what you need to work on rather than wait for the final round.

If you did not participate in the first round auditions but are planning to participate in the second round, I strongly recommend that you schedule a preliminary "mock audition" before the end of the school year to make sure you are on the right track to meet the standard.
