Lynnwood High Art Students Win Awards at the Arts Council of Snohomish County 2009 Scholastic Art Show Congratulations to Katherin Decastro, Adine Moon who won the prestigious Gold Key awards. Their art work will continue on to compete at the national level for the opportunity to be one of 300 pieces that will be exhibited during June 2009 in New York City. Shaina Chavda, Kyle Ulrich, Carina Mendoza, and Adine Moon won Silver Key Awards. Yasmin, Alnokhamad, Mariah Mitchel Annie Ogle, and Chuong Nguyen received honorable mentions. The Scholastic art show was founded in 1923. It is one of the longest running and most prestigious program that recognizes visual and literary works by creative teenagers in grades 7-12. Nationally over 140,000 works of art and writing were submitted in 60 different regional shows. Check out this exciting show Feb 16-23 in Everett at the
