Announcements
Dear Parents, The Madrona Intermediate centers are excited to announce our upcoming field trip to Port Angeles, the Olympic National Park Visitor Center, and the Elwha River on Thursday, June 6th. Our goal is to understand the current health of the Elwha River and watershed as well as to gain a first-hand perspective of the current dam removal and restoration project. This field trip will be the culmination of our year-long study of migration, salmon, land & water, and Northwest Coastal Native Americans.
This trip is a FULL day adventure! We will be together beyond the normal school day, so bus transportation to and from school is not possible. Parents may need to work out carpools in order to drop-off and pick-up students. If you plan to have your student leave the school premises in a vehicle with an adult that is not you, please complete and return the Student Transportation Agreement, attached, with the permission slip by May 20th.
7:45am Students meet at Madrona, take attendance, load busses 5:15pm Parents pick-up students at Madrona
We also need chaperones. Please fill out the attached chaperone form if you are able to attend and send into school by May 20th.
