Welcome to the
 Renaissance Center

Intermediate
Grades 4-6

The Renaissance and other intermediate center teachers will be working together this Thursday afternoon to develop big idea concepts to deepen our teaching and learning.  For example, I could simply teach students the geology of the five core regions of Washington state and have them do erosion experiments. Instead, I will strive to have students "get" that geologic formations are the result of creative and destructive forces some of which can be quite dramatic (in this state!). - Ms. Nichols

New Feature for Ms. Nichols/Johanna's Lit Group:  Poetry study & illustration.  Please note project #1 - most of which should be completed in class within a week's time.

Science:
We still need CLEAR 2 liter bottles,  rinsed only (no soap!), WITH caps, labels off.
We 90 bottles by January. (That's about 3 per person).  Thank you!

All students participated in planting Red Emperor tulips and registered to participate in the worldwide Journey North Tulip Project

Math: Expressions families can now view the text at home, on line!
Need a fun way to practice multiplication facts?  Download Timez Attack  (see Links).
