The Renaissance and other
intermediate center teachers will be working together this Thursday
afternoon to develop big idea concepts to deepen our teaching and
learning. For example, I could simply teach students the
geology of the five core regions of Washington state and have them
do erosion experiments. Instead, I will strive to have
students "get" that geologic formations are the result of
creative and destructive forces some of which can be quite dramatic
(in this state!). - Ms. Nichols
New Feature for Ms. Nichols/Johanna's Lit Group: Poetry study & illustration. Please note project #1 - most of which should be completed in class within a week's time. Science: We still need CLEAR 2 liter bottles, rinsed only (no soap!), WITH caps, labels off. We 90 bottles by January. (That's about 3 per person). Thank you! All students participated in planting Red Emperor tulips and registered to participate in the worldwide Journey North Tulip Project Math: Expressions families can now view the text at home, on line!
