Welcome to Meadowdale Middle’s seventh grade social studies class! Social studies are an in-depth look at our world today and the historical forces that continue to shape and influence it. We accomplish this by studying the five themes of Geography: place, location, human/environmental interaction, region, and movement; then integrate these themes throughout our study of Washington State, and the ancient civilizations of Meso-america, the Arabian Peninsula, Feudal Japan and Europe. We are dedicated to providing your student a rigorous and relevant curriculum. One that will challenge them at the highest levels asking them to analyze, synthesize and apply what they are learning daily. This will be accomplished in a high energy environment, where students will be free to take risks and expand their educational horizons.
Let me tell you a little about myself. This is my 18th year teaching at Meadowdale Middle school. This school as well as Meadowdale High School is where I went as a kid and where my daughter Kayla currently goes to school. So you can say Meadowdale has always been my home. In addition to teaching, I also have the pleasure of coaching our football, boy's basketball and girl's basketball teams. I love this school this district and above all this community. Thank you for visiting my site, and feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
Kids and teaching are my passion!
belief fuels passion, and....passion rarely fails.
