The Biology textbook is now available online. To access it, do the following: 1) Go to www.pearsonsuccessnet.com 2) Click on "register" 3) Follow registration directions. You do NOT need the "teacher ID". Leave that field blank. Use the school's zipcode: 98043 Our access code is: PHSCSE06NTENCBT Need extra help? Have you been absent? Science comes easily to some students but can be more challenging for others - and of course, many students will be absent at least a couple of times in the school year. In short, most students need to come in for some help at least a few times. If you missed class or need extra help with a particular concept or unit, you are encouraged to visit Mr. Welman after school or during our Wednesday and Thursday PASS period for extra help. Mr. Welman is typically available after school for an hour or so on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. He is also available for brief questions from 7:00 - 7:20 most mornings. New in 2012-2013: MTHS is providing an "Activity Bus" that wll provide free transportation home to any student who stays after school Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays; the bus leaves MTHS at 3:20 Students who come in for help routinely see improvements in their understanding of course content and their grades. Extra Credit Extra credit is available every month. Simply find a current event about a science-related topic and write a summary of the article as described in the extra credit form available from Mr. Welman in Room 126. |
