Mr. Odell Homework Overview Reading Being able to read effectively for a variety of reasons is essential to success both in the classroom and out in the "real world"! Each month, students will complete a book report in a given genre that is due at the end of the month. There is no in-class time to do these so students need to manage their time at home to get these done. Students need to read 20 minutes or more a night. Writing Students will be given a variety of opportunities to write for different audiences this year. One sure-fire way to improve writing is to write a lot. The last day of each week, students will be given a topic for their homework writing assignment. This will be due the last day of the next week. Math Working with numbers can sometimes be a challenge for students. To be comfortable with them and the concepts surrounding them, students will be given Math Homework on most days.
