Welcome to the webpage of Julie Jackson! I am currently teaching English 10, English 11, and English Catch-up (CBL) at Scriber Lake High School. Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns regarding your son/daughter. My hours are Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-3:00 PM. You can email me at Jacksonju@edmonds.wednet.edu, or you can call me at (425) 431-5838.

Just so you know a little about me, I'll give you an official introduction. I grew up in southern California (no, I didn't move here to take over land), moved to Whitefish, Montana when I was 16, went to college at Northwest Nazarene University (in Idaho), and moved to Washington last year. I taught in Idaho (mostly long-term subbing, night school, and summer school) for two years (grades 9-12 in English), and I taught at Options in the Edmonds School District last year. If you hear the name "Gates," that's because I was Miss Gates until this past summer. I recently got married in Kaua'i, Hawaii. I absolutely love teaching English, and I love working at Scriber. I see so much potential in the kids at our school, and my goal is to encourage/motivate the kids to see that about themselves as well.

Aside from my passion for teaching, I love hiking, camping, bicycling, and hanging out with my wonderful husband and my friends. I love to volunteer (not because it makes me a better person, but because it makes me feel good to help in some way). I teach Sunday school to kindergarteners on the weekends, and as cute as the little kids are, I definitely prefer teaching at the high school level.
